One of the leading causes of broken hatch pull-down units is worn hatch struts. These aftermarket pneumatic hatch struts fit the 1982-92 F-Body (Camaro or Firebird). They have a higher gas charge and are stronger than OEM struts. These struts have integral terminals for connecting the rear window defroster connectors. Sold and priced as a pair, since they need to be replaced in pairs to maintain proper alignment. TDS 023210 supports 16 lbs more than this strut. Order it if your car has the spoiler and rear wiper motor.
