One of the leading causes of broken hatch pull-down units is worn hatch struts. These aftermarket pneumatic hatch struts fit the 1982-92 F-Body (Camaro or Firebird). They have a higher gas charge and are much stronger than OEM struts. These struts have integral terminals for connecting the rear window defroster connectors.
